The purpose of this study is theeffectiveness of cognitive behavior therapy on high school students in characters such as State self-esteemand fear of negative evaluation.The population includes all students enrolled in special high schools in Dashti Township in Bushehr Province. 30 students were randomly selected and assigned to the experimental and the control group. The experimental group received 8 sessions intervention but control group received no intervention. Data include the self-esteem scaleand the scale of fear of negative evaluation. The Data were analyzed by multivariate analysis of covariance Statistical analysis of research hypotheses confirmed the hypothesis of the study. It suggests that there is a significant difference in the components of the self-esteemand fear of negative evaluation of the test students group who had received CBT, in comparison to the control group that did not receive any therapy. The results showed that there is a significant difference between the two groups in the state of self-esteemand fear of negative evaluation Therefore, it can be stated that cognitive behavioral therapy worked to improve self-esteemand fear of negative evaluation of the experimental group in comparison to the control group was effective.
